She is currently vice chair-elected of International Communication Association Popular Media and Culture Division, vice dean of Chinese Society for Science and Technology Jounalism in Game and eSports Communication Research Professionals.

UH Esports is a college esports program that draws on the strengths of our community of mentors, educators, and alumni to provide students with opportunities for collegiate competition in esports, career paths into the wider video game industry, and a space that welcomes the diversity of students on all UH campuses. 
 
Mission
UH Esports provide students with opportunities to engage with a rapidly grwoing industry in video games and esports. It is an important part of their mission to esure their students have an institute that see value in supporting students who often see video games as a means of personal expression and growth. 
 
The Manoa Academy of Gamers, a UH Community was established oin 2018 to foster a community of people on campus who enjoy gaming. With over 200 student members in the present, the organisation continues to introduce new students to gaming and organise social events to provide rich opportunites to students. 
 
Vision
The University of Hawaii’s esports program competes in a variety of esports leagues across the country throughout the year, including League of Legends, Overwatch, VALORANT, and more. With the support and involvement of University students, faculty, staff, and graduates, we continue to strive to be a school where students can be excited to be a part of our esports program in which they can apply their education into their passion to pursue esports as a career.

HKBU has actively conducted Research on sports and esports. Prof. CHUNG, Pak-Kwong & his research team- conducted a research on E-sports development in HK: 


Title: A study of development of Esports in Hong Kong in 2021. 
Perception of Hong Kong Teenagers and Young Adults on Esports Participation: A Qualitative Study using Theory of Planned Behavior. 
 
HKBU Students are also actively involved in esports. There is Hkbusu Esports Society (香港浸會大學學生會電子競技學會), founded in 2021, hold various tournaments and events for students. 

HKBU Career Center have partnered with esports operators in Hong Kong, Yesports, to host esports Workshops - eSports Career Skills Training in Marketing, Event Production, Media, Technology, etc.

Bachelor of Business Administration in Sports and eSports Management

 
The programme provides a broad-based education in the management of organisations, facilities, and events in traditional sports as well as the fast-growing eSports industry. Students will gain exposure to theoretical knowledge from multiple business disciplines, while gaining extensive hands-on experience through the programme’s Applied Learning Project.


Graduates of this programme would be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and experience in athletic management as well as sports and eSports management. They would be able to produce practical management or marketing solutions for various organisations and operations related to sports and eSports. Integrate and apply advanced analytical skills to address issues and make decisions related to sports and eSports management. Assimilate and synthesise new knowledge in athletic development and sports and eSports management, apply it to solve problems related to operation in sports and eSports facilities, and develop practical recommendations.

Association of Pacific Rim Universities

(Pacific Rim)

APRU (the Association of Pacific Rim Universities) is a consortium of 61 leading research universities in 19 economies of the Pacific Rim. Formed in 1997, APRU fosters collaboration between member universities, researchers, and policymakers contributing to economic, scientific and cultural advancement in the Pacific Rim.


The APRU Games and Esports Research Working Group takes an active role in the development and implementation of Program activities to considerably advance the study of the esports ecosystem and our collaboration across the APRU network.


The APRU Games and Esports webinar series provides an opportunity for members of the APRU Games and Esports Research Working Group and invited guests to share information about their recent, current, or upcoming research related to games and esports.
